How Intanka® works:
Renewing Fuel Storage from the Inside Out
Intanka® creates a completely new, structurally independent double-wall tank within the existing tank.
The new tank is constructed using reinforced fibreglass laminates, with a three-dimensional interstitial layer positioned between the primary and secondary containment walls. This monitored space provides early detection of any loss of containment.
The Intanka® process:
- Prepare the existing tank
The tank is cleaned, inspected and prepared for installation. - Construct the new tank system
Reinforced fibreglass laminates are installed to form the new primary and secondary containment walls, separated by the interstitial layer. - Test and monitor
The completed system is tested and fitted with dedicated monitoring points for continuous interstitial monitoring.
